Drawing from the convenor’s personal testimony and her 2022 book, Speaking Against Fear and Limiting Beliefs, the series addresses the overwhelming anxieties mothers face—such as paralyzing fear over their children’s futures, which often manifests as destructive over-control or masking through excessive busyness.
God's Will vs. Perpetual Fear
God’s intent for mothers is not to live in a perpetual cycle of fear, anxiety, worry, or stagnation.
According to Jeremiah 29:11, God’s thoughts toward us are to give us a future and a hope. Fear actively steals that hope and attempts to rob us of our future.
The Power of the Word Over Fear
Mothers cannot fight fear by relying on worldly representations, psychology, or mainstream media narratives. We must fight it using the tool that created us: the Word of God.
Just as humanity was shaped by the spoken Word of God (Genesis 1:26-28 and John 1:1), our situations must be transformed by it.
John 6:63 confirms that the Word of God is spirit and life. It carries the supernatural ability to inject life into dead, fearful, or stagnated circumstances.
The Ultimate Weapon: The Sword of the Spirit
In the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17), almost every piece of armor is designed for defense—the helmet, breastplate, shield, and shoes protect us.
However, the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God) is our only offensive weapon. It is what we actively use to fight.
As stated in Hebrews 4:12, the Word is quicker and sharper than any physical weapon. It has the precision to hit the exact target of our anxiety and transform it.
The Strategy: Thinking vs. Speaking
Fear cannot be defeated simply by thinking or reasoning against it. It must be countered by speaking.
Deuteronomy 30:14 reminds us that the Word is near us—it is in our mouths and in our hearts.
To dismantle limiting beliefs, we must deliberately place the Word of God in our mouths and speak it aloud over our homes, children, and personal lives (Jeremiah 1:9-10). Ignorance of God’s promises is often the reason the enemy continues to flog believers with fear.
Looking Ahead
This session laid the groundwork. In the coming weeks, the “Fearless” series will move into practical spiritual engagement, teaching mothers exactly how to locate the right scriptures and place the Word of God in their mouths to conquer their deepest fears.
